On July 15th, Madeleine Cameron spoke to the PMC shared a sermon with PMC that she’d prepared during an internship in Fresno, where she’s preparing to take part in a community project following her graduation from Fresno Pacific University.
Maddie spoke from John 20:19-31 and the passage describing Thomas doubt following the death and subsequent sightings of Jesus. She takes our traditional moniker for Thomas — “the doubter” — and talks about why his story might just reflect his authenticity. She shares the blessing Jesus’ bestows on Thomas, approaching him and offering his wounds for Thomas sake.
Tim went on to share the story of musician Julien Baker, and the reminder of her father in a time of need that she was deeply loved by God.
Maddie shares about the value of acknowledging our faith struggles, and allowing them to bring us close to others and to God, and allowing God to shape and form us in the process.
