The Fruit of the Spirit: Patience & Kindness

On October 4th, Tim Reardon contines a series on the fruit of the spirit. He references Ephesians 4:1-6 and 11-32; and 5:1-2.

Kindness matters. How do we cultivate kindess in community? How did Jesus demonstrate kindness? And how kind can we manage to be? Mother Theresa kind? Perfectly kind as our our heavenly Father is kind?

Our calling is to wholeness. Our measure is the kindness that God has shown to us. And we move toward this wholeness by drawing near to God. We imitate God as dearly loved children — moving toward a love that casts out fear.

These are practices of a community that makes space for one another in care, compassion, and hope.

But do these values match those of our society? Does our society value kindness?
