Solidarity in Apocalyptic Times

A sermon shared on April 19 by Bert Newton on Luke 16:1-9.

The Parable of the Unjust Manager has long confounded commentators, but perhaps we are better able to hear it in these “apocalyptic” times. Perhaps the current crisis can open our eyes to see things, and to see people, that we were unable to see before.

Questions for Community Group Discussion:

  1. What are the barriers to forming a network of mutual aid (and how do we overcome them)?
  1. How do we form relationships with people outside of our social and economic class to strengthen our network of mutual aid?
