The Fruit of the Spirit

The Trinity, an icon by Andrei Rublev

Our youth periodically take over the planning and leading of our worship service — always a wonderful learning experience for us. As we’re still adapting to the adaptations of zoom — we are unable to hear again Alyssa Tipton’s words on Love, and Peer Wahlquist’s thoughts on Joy. Instead, we come in midway to Celeste Sharp sharing her experience of peace. I find the closing statement of each especially moving: Through the power of the Spirit, when I am at my best, I am an icon of God’s… Aaron Sharp had talked about how icons were used, and how they are a window, or mirror reflection of God, revealing aspects of God’s nature.

So, hear Celeste on peace, Liza Platonov on patience, Jadyn Tipton on kindness, Luke Cameron on generosity, Mark Leard on faithfulness, Nadia Platonov on gentleness, and Clair Rewers on self-control.

Sprinkled in are Claire Rewers with a peace lamp prayer, Eisley Bills singing “When We’re Gone, Long Gone” to her Dad’s accompaniment. The audio closes with Eisley reading their text, Galatians 5:22-25.
